Why do a lot of people see wolves as evil and anti christ?

i see then as very cute and spiritual creatures that deserves a LOT of respect. far more respect people are giving them. also i don't think, i KNOW that they have souls and have emotion just like every other animal, aquatic and insect does. sorry, i get emotional about these things.
