What type of clothing do college students wear?

I will be entering this fall as a college freshman. I was wondering what are some good stores that are casual yet nice looking. I have heard plenty that no one cares what you're wearing, but I want to look some what decent. Thanks. If anyone who goes to a college in colorado like CU Boulder or Colorado State U. please reply.
